AUXILIARES IN ORTHODONTICS: CANTILEVERS. BIOMECHANICS AND USE OF CANTILEVERS.
Theoretical part
Cantilever mechanics in orthodontics offer several advantages, including targeted tooth movement, versatility in addressing specific dental issues, and the ability to apply controlled forces for optimal results. The design allows for the manipulation of individual teeth, making it useful in cases where precise adjustments are necessary. Additionally, cantilevers provide orthodontists with a strategic tool to address different challenges.
The cantilever course provides comprehensive insights into the application of cantilever mechanics in orthodontics. Participants will learn the principles behind cantilever design, its role in addressing specific dental issues, and the strategic use of forces for optimal tooth movement. The course covers practical aspects, including case studies, hands-on exercises, and discussions on incorporating cantilevers into treatment plans. Participants will gain proficiency in utilising this technique to enhance their orthodontic practice.
Practical part
Calculating needed force system in clinical situations (exercises).
Bending basic cantilevers, bending passive segments for anchorage and active units. Bending cantilevers with configuration.
Calculating two vector mechanics for clinical situations. (exercises and bending).
